"The United States is the main culprit . . . for all those violent acts," Serbia's Minister for Kosovo, Slobodan Samardzic, said in Belgrade. This sounds like a hostage situation to me. You know, like in the movies, when a crazy guy grabs an innocent bystander and says, "don't come near me or I'll blow his brains out. His blood will be on your hands!"
[A]n aide to hard-line Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said any future violence also will be blamed on the U.S. "If the United States sticks to its present position that the fake state of Kosovo exists . . . all responsibility in the future will be on the United States."
By the way -- didn't the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, and Australia also "recognize" the independence of Kosovo. How did the U.S. get sole responsibility for this mess?
