The good people over at A Daily Dose of Architecture have posted an interesting article on all the building that's been going on in the Streeterville neighborhood (my home) in Chicago. Five new residential high rises are going up in a few blocks' space (not even counting the Spire). The neighborhood looks completely different than it did when I moved here six years ago, and I imagine that by the time all of these buildings are finished in the next couple years, I won't even recognize it.
As a bonus, the article even gives a shout out to the eponymous Cap'n Streeter!
